For any speaking activity to succeed, students need to:
- Acknowledge that there is a real reason for asking a question or giving a piece of information.

- Speak as much English as possible without interfering to correct the mistakes that they will probably make.

- Be praised for just speaking
Therefore, the teacher should always offer praise for the effort of speaking regardless of the accuracy of the English produced.
